Design

Design

With qualified engineers, Arka has a highly competent and professional engineering capability with considerable experience of  Product design and development.

 

Armed with the latest generation of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and EdgeCAM, manufacturing (CAM) software, our engineering team is able to undertake clean sheet designs and optimise them quickly and efficiently. This includes a solid modelling, finite element analysis and top down assembly modelling capability. Engineers ensure that our innovative designs meet our customers’ exacting requirements through regular client liaison and project reviews.

 

With a diverse customer base coming from motorsport and automotive engineering sectors, our highly creative engineers are constantly challenged to think of unusual, novel and innovative solutions to satisfy the technical and packaging requirements for installation. Our engineers are highly conversant with “Design for Assembly” techniques, with rigorous cost management and value engineering on all projects. Passionate and totally committed to their tasks, our engineers relish working under the tight timescales that our motorsport and automotive customers demand, while ensuring no compromises are taken on product quality.

Advanced Manufacturing

Advanced Manufacturing

The close relationship between design, production engineering and manufacturing ensures that even the most complex components are able to be manufactured at our facility. Virtually all components are manufactured in-house by a state of the art Fanuc CNC Operated LMW 4-axis Vertical milling machine and Fanuc CNC Operated LMW Turning machine, both being backed by EdgeCAM2020 Computer Aided Machining software. It is capable of producing complex components to incredible accuracy, meeting even the extreme tolerances required for Motorsports and Automotive Industries.Our manufacturing capabilities are flexible and scalable to meet any customer need. Whether the need is to manufacture-to-drawing, a prototype run or volume production run.

Electric Vehicle Build

Electrical Vehicle Build

Arka has been developing electric vehicle technologies for a while.  Since our first project  when we created a demonstrator car for one of India's leading OEMs, we have been at the forefront. This technology know-how optimises the performance of electric vehicles. 

Our extensive in-house manufacturing facilities ensures that we can turn ideas into full working prototypes, or proof of concept demonstrators to short timescales.  We are also experienced in taking projects from this phase to production readiness, for high volume manufacturing.

Conventional practice is to follow an initial proof-of concept stage with a design intent stage. The hardware is representative of a production solution, but is still made to prototype standards. By designing the demonstrator vehicles to production standards from the outset, we can address many of the issues that are usually deferred until later in the programme.  This way, we can cut the hardware phases from three to two steps, speeding up the whole process. This allows our clients to sooner comprehend their ambitions.

A leader in the motorsport industry for more than three decades. Through this, we have developed an unrivalled skill in rapidly developing prototype vehicles and engineering solutions.  This motorsport approach ensures that Arka can take its clients' programmes to the prototype phase, far more rapidly than would be achievable within a larger organisation.  

 

Arka has the facilities in-house to manufacture a product prototype which includes extensive machining and fabrication to electrical system production and vehicle build.

Chassis Engineering

We are known for our development of shock absorbers for extreme conditions or comfortable ride quality in your daily drive, we have our own vision on what differentiates our dampers. Where every person gets a personal recommendation to make sure it is tailored to everyone’s needs.

 

Apart from motorsports and aftermarket performance requirements we are also involved with the rebuild & engineering solutions for the (locomotive) Metro Rail Dampers. With a little over 1000 dampers being serviced annually, at Arka we like to keep exploring the uncharted territory which could make the everyday ride for a commuter safer!

We have state of the art quality control where we use advanced measuring equipment’s such as MAHR Digimar 817 CLM height measuring instrument. It has Excellent accuracy and reliability due to the optical incremental measurement system with the double reader head.

We have Management System as per ISO 9001 : 2015 certified by TUV NORD India.
